This particular post has been ”out there” for quite a while and after a lot of research and testing I present you the top Headsets compatible with the Xbox One in a list that has choices for all wallets.
The Premiere one’s
ASTRO GAMING A50
If you are looking for the best headset money can buy, you are looking at the A50’s. Not only ASTRO Gaming makes gaming headsets with high quality sound, but they also make them look like pure class. The ASTRO Gaming A50 is an Xbox One wireless headset that lasts for up to 15 hours of gaming. Compatible with the PS4, XB1 and PC they are fitted with 50mm Speakers for awesome lows and really high peaks. The A50s have Dolby Headphone-enabled 7.1 surround sound with MixAmp controls. They fit really good on your head and do the outmost to cover the entire ear (no matter the ear size). The chat feature is not wireless but it is not that bad. Shortly after the headset was first released there was a audio-cut problem but it was afterwards removed with an updated software. There is nothing bad about the A50’s.
Speakers: 50mm // Weight: 362gr // 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound //
TURTLE BEACH ELITE 800X
I know that this list has already featured two headsets that cost almost as much as the console itself but trust me they are really worth it. Turtle Beach has a few models featured on this list but we start with the crown jewel, their best headset up to date the Turtle Beach 800. Not only it is Wireless, it has one of the best firm grips in the market. It’s sound quality is second to none and with the nice cushions and mushy earcups you can enjoy them on your head for hours. The Noise Cancelling- DTS Surround Sound and the Magnetic Charging pod are just a few of the awesome features. Plus that they are completely wireless is the biggest pro you can add to this masterpiece. The big price tag though can make people thing more than twice. Is it worth it though? Certainly. I had to look at this model over and over before i chose the A50’s myself.
Speakers: 50mm // 10 hour battery // Weight 372gr // DTS- Dolby Digital // Double Noise Cancelling Mic and Earcups.
PRICE: 370€ (you can look at the refurbished models at the Turtle Beach website)
The SteelSeries cuts the cord to deliver exceptional audio in a brilliantly designed wireless headset. Hear your enemies so clearly, they’ll think you’re hacking. There is nothing SteelSeries cannot do and it does it all with style. It is well worth its money and given the fact that it comes with a galore of cords, it’s functions are completely- COMPLETELY wireless. Add to that the second battery they provide you that you can charge on the base and switch to it anytime needed. The headset will let you know when it is time, cause it is that awesome.
7.1 Surround (so good that will make your teeth shake when you pull the triggers on your controller) // Completely Wireless // Weight: 320gr
Logitech Artemis Spectrum G933
A small dive in the price tag in the range of a 100€ can make many think that there is something wrong with this headset. Actually there isn’t, Logitech has been making Audio Visual components far longer than many gamers have existed so their expertise on the field is massive and they are pioneers in the market as well. The G933 is a 7.1 Dolby Digital Headset with a retractable mic to make it easier without bumping it left right and center. It is comfortable, it is wireless, it has excellent sound and specs. What else do you need? Still worried about the price and that there is something wrong with this one? There isn’t, get over it they want to hit the market with a cheaper but equal to competitor product.
7.1 Surround Sound // Wireless // Compatible with PC, Mobile devices, TV’s, Consoles.
POLK 4 SHOT
When you are looking at POLK, just like BOSE they are pioneers in the field of household Audio. They are massive with 40 years of experience. Now when POLK created the 4 Shot, they had one thing on their mind: XBOX ONE. They worked with developers, such as Halo and Titanfall in order to bring the best audio for those games. The Chat loop feature listens into your mic and lets you hear your voice in the headset to avoid shouting. The 40mm drivers have been created using Polk’s patented Dynamic Balance® driver design process. This helps eliminate resonances and creates the Striker’s game changing high-quality sound.

TURTLE BEACH XO SEVEN PRO
Back to Turtle Beach and the XO Seven which was the first of three Xbox One headsets from Turtle Beach, the XO Seven features over-the-ear speakers with memory foam padding. Separate volume controls for game and chat audio make sure you’re catching everything, and the black/green finish blends in nicely with the overall Xbox One aesthetic. The XO Seven also connects to the controller via the Xbox One headset adapter.
Turtle Beach quality is guaranteed on this one. It was my first headset and I recommend it in case you are looking for a good headset for casual gaming.
Comfortable Paddings with memory foam // Competition Durability and a lot of cool features.
There are many options for everyone to look at and many different manufacturers to choose from. The above mentioned headsets are what I think are the best in the market at the moment. I might have been unfair with some models such as the A40 which is not on the list but lets be honest, if you are going to buy a smashing headset then why not go straight for the A50 which is a little bit more expensive rather than getting something outdated.
Finally, if the price tag at the Turtle Beaches is high please have a look at the Turtle Beach website and they have Refurbished models with very good deals. (Refurbished does not mean it has been used or that it is lower quality. It was remade because there was a manufacturers error-they should have no error when they have been refurbished but their value drops significantly).
NOTE: See how I deliberately didn’t even mention the HyperX series?
